The Guardian is even better in person. The leather has that rich, slightly waxy feel, and you can smell it the second you open the box. The stitching is tight and even all the way around. It looks like a bag that’ll get better with age.

I’ve owned cheap duffels that started fraying within months. The Ridge feels like the complete opposite. The handles are thick and reinforced, the zipper runs smooth, and the hardware has real weight to it. Built properly.

Bought the Harlan for a work trip and got three compliments at the airport alone. The color is a deep, warm brown that photos don’t do justice.

What sold me was the details. The edges are cleanly finished, there are no loose threads anywhere, and the brass hardware has a lovely antique look. You can tell someone actually cared how this was made.
